Friends and Whānau

This is an active group that helps support teaching and learning opportunities for our tamariki, and helps inspire a strong and supportive school community.

There is no right or wrong way to be involved! From decision making to selling a raffle card, we can do more together.

Our Fundraising Events

BBQ's

Cheeserolls 2023

In May it was awesome to see the whole school & wider community get behind the cheese rolls fundraiser. We sold over 1,200 dozen cheese rolls, which made us a profit of over $5,000.

Pepper and Me

We ran a Pepper & Me fundraiser, a quick and easy way for money to be donated to Friends & Whanau of Stirling School through peoples purchases at Pepper & Me.

Baleage Drive

In progress, we will update you soon !

Calendar Art

We created calendars, sketch pads and cards from our children's art work for families to purchase.

Teatowels

We coordinated a 2023 Stirling School memento tea towel for purchase.

Donations

We have been so fortunate to receive over $6,700 of donations from friends & whānau of our organisation. These donations are tax deductible for the donor. These monies are used towards resource requests from staff, with a portion in high interest savings tagged for a long term playground project for Stirling School.

Our Support

Scooters and Helmets

We purchased 5 new scooters and helmets for the children to use during morning tea and lunch times.

Mobilo

We purchased some Mobilo & donated it to Stirling School. Mobilo gives the tamariki opportunities to practise their fine motor skills, us their creative minds & develop their oral language in a play based setting.

Sandpit Toys

We purchased some new sandpit toys and a storage box. The toys give the children gross motor skills development opportunities as well as encouraging cooperation. They have loved taking their creations to the next level & their critical thinking is being challenged each time they visit the sandpit.

Picnic Tables

We purchased some outdoor picnic tables & donated them to Stirling School.

Board Games and Card Games

We purchased some card and board games and donated them to Stirling School, to enhance learning opportunities. The games were selected by staff and were chosen for their proven ability to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and social interaction.
